What economic indicators are included in the chartbook?

The chartbook includes 21 sections covering GDP growth, unemployment, inflation (CPI, PCE, PPI), Federal Reserve interest rates, yield curves, housing starts, credit spreads, S&P 500 and NASDAQ performance, US Dollar index, oil and commodity prices, China and Europe economic data, Fed balance sheet, and more. Each chart includes educational context explaining its definition, calculation methodology, and market significance.

How do I generate a PDF report?

Simply click the 'Generate My Weekly Chart Book' button on the home page. All charts are pre-selected by default, and the report is pre-generated in the background for instant delivery. You can also use the green rocket 'Instant Create' button in the toolbar for one-click PDF generation in under one second.

How often is the data updated?

Data is refreshed from multiple sources each time you load the page. The chartbook pulls real-time and near-real-time data from FRED (Federal Reserve Economic Data), Financial Modeling Prep, Trading Economics, and Databento. Most indicators update daily or weekly depending on the release schedule of the underlying economic data.

Can I customize which charts appear in my report?

Yes. Use the Quick Chart Selector toolbar to select or deselect individual charts, entire sections, or use preset templates like 'Fed Watch', 'Inflation Monitor', or 'Market Pulse'. You can save custom presets, share them via URL, and reorder charts using drag-and-drop before generating your PDF.

What data sources does Marlowe Keynes use?

Marlowe Keynes aggregates data from six primary sources: FRED (Federal Reserve Economic Data) for US economic indicators, Financial Modeling Prep (FMP) for equity market data, Trading Economics for global PMIs and international indicators, Databento for futures and derivatives data, EOD Historical Data for additional market metrics, and Polygon.io for real-time market data.

Does the chartbook show recession periods?

Yes. All charts include optional NBER recession shading that highlights historical recession periods with orange vertical bands. This feature can be toggled on or off and covers recessions from 1970 through 2020, providing valuable historical context for interpreting current economic trends.
